Yes, but race-day prices increase by $5 per distance. We recommend registering in advance to save money and guarantee a spot.Will there be T-Shirts?

Parking is available inside Burke Lake Park at Shelter A.Directions to Parking:
Enter Burke Lake Park from Ox Road (Route 123).
After passing the gatehouse and Visitor’s Center, take the first right onto Shelter A Road.
Parking is on the left near Shelter A.

Where do I pick up my race packet?
Packet pickup is only available on race day at Shelter A. We recommend arriving about 1 hour before your event to check in.What time should I arrive?
Packet pickup opens at 7:00 AM. Plan to arrive around 1 hour before your event starts to allow time for check-in and warm-up.Where can I find the race route?

Are dogs or strollers allowed on the course?
Yes, strollers are allowed. However, for safety reasons, we ask that runners with pets and strollers start toward the back of the race.Only well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed. Please ensure your pet is comfortable around crowds and other dogs.

How is the race timed?
The 5K race is chip-timed by Bishop’s Events. Your official time is recorded when you cross the start and finish lines.How can I check my race results?

Q: Will there be awards?
Yes. Awards will be given to:Top Overall Male & Female Finishers
Top finishers in each age group (10-year increments)
Awards will be announced at 10:00 AM.
Is there a participation award?
5K finishers will receive a custom firefighter challenge coin, a symbol of camaraderie, dedication, and service in the fire community, honoring both their effort and Captain Sisson’s legacy. -
What happens if it rains?
The event will take place rain or shine. Only extreme weather conditions (such as lightning or unsafe course conditions) may cause a delay, postponement, or cancellation.How will I know if the race is canceled?
We will email all registered participants and post updates on social media in case of any cancellations or changes.What is the refund policy?

How do I sign up to volunteer?

Volunteers should arrive at least 60 minutes before the first race starts. We will assign roles (water station, check-in, finish line support, etc.) on race morning.How can my business sponsor the event?

What is the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN)?
FCSN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing firefighter cancer awareness, prevention training, and support services for firefighters and their families affected by cancer.Q: How does this race support FCSN?
All proceeds from the George L. Sisson Memorial 5K go directly to FCSN, helping fund education, peer support, and resources for firefighters battling cancer. Throughout his own cancer journey, George received mentorship, guidance, and support from FCSN, making this cause deeply personal to his family and the firefighting community.Q: Can I donate to FCSN even if I’m not participating in the race?
